Restored COunseling
Counseling for first responders and their families
We offer counseling for first responder families in Springfield and throughout Missouri to help navigate the unique challenges of the lifestyle.
As a first responder, you have been trained to put your life on the line. You put the lives of others before your own. You step forward when most step back.
You do not have to live this way!
As a first responder, you love your job, but sometimes you struggle with hidden pain and turmoil that goes unseen. Sometimes you struggle to disconnect from it all. You work tirelessly to provide for your family. In an effort to protect your family, you don’t share much about your job. You understand that the lifestyle of a first responder can be challenging for your spouse. When you see them struggling, it feels like there is no way to make everyone happy. Balancing your own needs with the needs of your partner and family can be overwhelming. You strive to be present and supportive for your loved ones, but it can be challenging to meet their expectations.
As the spouse of a first responder, you feel alone and disconnected from your hero, even when they are at home. At times, you shoulder the responsibilities of managing the home and raising the children on your own. You have grown accustomed to attending events and celebrations alone. The lifestyle of being in a relationship with a first responder is challenging and you never thought you would feel this lonely. You feel guilty for desiring more intimacy, connection, and support.
